Living Room Refresh

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since we checked in but, we're back! Now that we're a few months into 2017, I can share some New Years intentions that I've actually kept up on for the last 3 months. Such as, attempting to be a minimalist - aka decluttering, meal planning and finally getting our living space together. One of my news years resolutions was to turn our living area into a room that we all LOVED and that was extremely family friendly.

I've been wanting to finish our gallery wall since we moved in almost one year ago. The wall was lacking some serious Ruby vibes and we needed to get her framed stat. I chose a fun photo from our Trip to the Ace Hotel last September where we celebrated my 30th birthday.

I have used framebridge in the past and loved the quality so it was a no-brainer to go to them again for this large piece that I wanted framed to complete our gallery wall. The process of picking a frame was so streamlined and enjoyable, I really couldn't recommend them more.
Living in Pasadena, one of my favorite things to do is visit the Rose Bown Flea Market. On my last trip to the Flea, I picked up this black and white mud cloth to add a modern pop of print to our couch and liven up the space! On to the rug... We're already huge fans of the fact that you can wash Lorena Canal rugs in the washing machine and I knew that it was the only way to go for a living room. Such modern and timeless designs, and so incredibly comfortable.. did I mention you can wash them? This is our second Lorena Canal Rug because our first rug has been washed weekly for over a year and it still looks amazing.

In an effort to make our living room more entertaining for Rubes, we got her an Aqua Kitchen for Christmas with the intention of having it live in the living room. I chose an Aqua kitchen because, it's one of my favorite colors ever and I'm trying to push it on to Ruby, haha.

Plus, I do love a fun pop of color a living area that us full of gray and white. To continue with the Aqua theme I got her a Dockatot lounger that easily fits into our living area and can be moved from room to room. Ruby loves to get all cozy and relax in it and it's been such incredibly helpful to have in her new toddler bed while she acclimates to not having a rail.

I love how our living room turned out. It's amazing how a few thoughtful updates can really transform a room and make you fall in love with your furniture all over again.
